Instruction how to use the machine:
Fill up the tank with clear water and keep it flowing during the baseboard cleaning.This will help to wash the dirt down and lubricate the surfacesYou may use Blue or Black pad Strip around the Scrub Jay. The black is for very dirty baseboards.

How to setup the Scrub Jay to clean COVE baseboards.

To clean cove baseboards, the pad strip and the bottom pad has to be arranged differently. For honing use Astro pad with diamond on it. Weights

 

 
Step 1.  To start the base-board cleaning, remove weights from your machine.

Step 2. If needed ADD water tank and blue feeding hose (see Step 19 and 20) to the machine. Rabbit-6 & Stonechat sold with water tank.

Step 3.  Unscrew the three black knobs. The spring on the knob prevents it from rattling during operation.

Step 4.  Remove splash guard by turning it around a couple of times. Observe the notch & the half moon shaped washers.

Step 5. Scrub Jay preparation. Part # 2A81356.  If you wish to strip the floor at the same time as you clean the baseboard, put 17 inch diameter black pad prt # 2A81260 on the bottom.  If you don’t want to strip or scrub the floor then use white pad.

Step 6.  Then put pad strip on by pushing it against the Velcro. Black for heavy soil removal, blue for average dirt removal.

Step 7. If the pad strip is too long, cut it to fit the block circumference. If, on the other hand, the pad strip is short, just stretch it.

Step 8. By coupling Scrub Jay #3 to #4 you can clean baseboards up to 8 inches high.

Step 9. Put Scrub Jay on machine.

Step 10.  The machine is set up with Scrub Jay #3, position the valve UP position, point the tip of blue hose on to Scrub Jay and you are ready to clean the baseboard.

Step 11. The machine is set up with Scrub Jays #3 & #4, the valve and the hose to clean 8 inch high baseboards.

Step 12. Fill up tank with clean water. (NO stripper, NO chemical.)

Step 13. Spray baseboard (up to 50 ft. long) with chemical (foam or gel which will cling to vertical surface.)

Step 14. Wait 5 – 10 minutes for the chemical to finishes its job.

Step 15. Position machine against baseboard at 45 degree angle on your LEFT hand side.

Step 16. Bend hose and point orange tip to the top of the pad strip.

Step 17. Begin cleaning by starting machine and pushing it against baseboard. Let the water flow continuously to wash dirt down.

Step 18. Mop up the mess. Use vacuum cleaner or auto scrubber and your job is DONE. Congratulations!
