3 Signs Your Commercial Floors Need Replacement

repairing broken tileIf you have been on the fence about whether or not your commercial floors should be replaced, here are three signs that can help you convince those in charge of the financing that this needs to be done now.

Sign #1: Certain areas of the floor are hazardous.

You may close off certain parts of the floor because tiles are broken, new tile doesn’t sit smoothly, or other issues have arisen. If that’s the case, just keeping those parts of the floor closed to general traffic isn’t enough; it needs to be replaced.

Sign #2: No amount of cleaning is helping.

Stripping, buffing, polishing, waxing, and many other cleaning methods are simply not getting those floors looking like new any longer. If that’s the case, that floor needs to be replaced because other issues will quickly begin to arise.

Sign #3: Your maintenance personnel has been talking about issues with the floor.

When your maintenance personnel are consistently talking about problems with the commercial floor surface, it’s time to listen. It’s easy to assume that this team wants an easier job, but they are looking out for the best interest of the company as a whole.

If the maintenance supervisor or certain personnel are pointing out various issues with commercial floors or even the equipment, it’s time to sit down and consider replacing those floors and getting new commercial floor cleaning equipment to take care of them properly in the future.
