Are ‘Natural’ Cleaning Products Really Effective for Commercial Spaces?

Home Cleaning Tips that Can Positively Impact Commercial SpacesWe hear a lot of talk about natural cleaning solutions and environmentally sound products to help protect the environment. When you’re responsible for a commercial facility, though, you may not have any interest in looking into these products because you assume they are not nearly as effective at keeping those facilities clean.

That all depends on the product itself.

Really, it all comes down to a number of factors with regard to keeping commercial floor surfaces and other areas clean. All natural cleaning products can actually be highly effective, when used properly.

What does this mean?

Just because a solution doesn’t have harsh chemicals that are known to remove sticky residue, gum, and other stains doesn’t mean it won’t work. If you have high quality commercial floor cleaning equipment and personnel who understand the intricacies of getting the best results, then there is rarely going to be any type of problem, stain, or otherwise that will keep them from getting those floor surfaces looking their best.

In some cases, though, all natural products may have limitations.

If you’re talking about a warehouse style facility where you have vehicles, forklifts, and other machines constantly driving in and out, you will notice oils and other fluids dripping onto the concrete floor surfaces. If you allow this to soak into the porous material the concrete (yes, even the hardest looking concrete is porous to some degree), it will begin to degrade the quality of the surface, leading to cracks.

This is where you may need more chemically enhanced cleaning solutions.

However, for hospitals, schools, malls, and other commercial facility, all-natural cleaning solutions can be highly beneficial for many reasons, not the least of which is marketing and publicity.

When you show the general public or your prime target market that you’re concerned about their safety and well-being as well as that of the environment, it will lead to a lot of goodwill and numerous other benefits and your floors can still look great, as long as you have highly experienced and trained personnel keeping them looking their best.
