Crevice attachments. These are those small little devices that can be attached to the hoses on various vacuum cleaners and other floor cleaning machines. When commercial facilities have the right equipment, they will likely have the option of various attachments, which can include crevice attachments.
While these are not often used, even in a residential setting, they are effective.
But, how can they be that effective for a commercial facility? After all, there aren’t going to be many areas throughout the facility that requires this, will there?
That all depends on the floor surface, the shape of the room, and other factors. In truth, if the floors are generally open spaces, linoleum tile surfaces, then a basic buffer with a baseboard attachment or component might do a pretty good job at cleaning the corners where the floor meets the walls.
But, what about other areas that are not as easy to get to?
This can include restroom areas, storage closets, or general office spaces where there are plenty of desks, chairs, cubicles, and other items congesting the floor surfaces. A crevice attachment could be effective at picking up larger items or getting into tight corners.
What about when you look up?
Along the ceilings and walls, corners, and so on, cobwebs, dust, and other debris can collect in these areas as well. A dusting mop can handle helps people reach these areas, but a crevice tool can also be an effective weapon at keeping these areas from collecting too much dirt and debris.
Sometimes, the wrong equipment can make these attachments more cumbersome than effective. But, with the right equipment, designed well and ergonomically, the job can be done quicker and easier and more efficiently. Don’t discount those attachments, especially when looking at a higher quality commercial floor cleaning machine.
