What Are the Three Biggest Challenges You Face with Commercial Maintenance?

TS&GdisinfectantAs a supervisor, manager, or owner of a commercial facility, you have plenty of challenges. If this commercial facility is part of your major corporation, such as a warehouse, the challenges may seem limited or minimal in comparison to owning an office complex with hundreds of clients.

However, in truth, each of those facilities are going to face plenty of obstacles, hurdles, and other problems through the years.

Here are the three biggest challenges you may face with your commercial maintenance and keeping that facility clean, safe, and in the best condition possible.

1. Personnel.

Having the right personnel is absolutely essential to successful overall maintenance. If you hire the wrong people to do the job, it may not seem it at first, but eventually you’ll begin to notice the condition of your facility is degrading quicker than you would have originally assumed.

This can cost you a lot more in the long run and it can also expose you to unnecessary liability.

2. Accessibility.

If you have business clients using the facility for office space, there’s only so many hours where you can do regular cleaning, general maintenance, and other aspects of maintenance.

You have to consider accessibility for not just your maintenance department, but also people using the facility itself, whether they do so during normal business hours, during the evening, or even 24 hours a day.

3. Cleaning solutions.

When it comes to commercial floor cleaning or other cleaning, such as in the bathrooms, what types of cleaning chemicals and solutions are you using? More people today prefer environmentally sound solutions, but they may not be effective at getting stubborn stains out or even minimizing bacteria and germs growth.

What about you? What are some of the biggest challenges you face in maintaining your commercial facility now, in the past, or moving forward?
