When you think about it, not many homeowners take much stock in what’s above them when it comes to cleanliness. They have a tendency to look at the dust on the shelves, on their furniture, around their windows, and also the cleanliness of their floors, including the carpeting. When you talking about a commercial facility, what is up will have to come down.
In other words, along ceilings, walls, shelving units, and more, there could be a great deal of dust and dirt collecting there. While that may not seem to be a major concern for you at the moment, it will always eventually make its way down and that will impact the cleanliness of your commercial floor surfaces.
But you have those commercial floors clean regularly.
It’s great to have your commercial floor surfaces cleaned regularly, especially every day, but that doesn’t mean they’re as clean as they possibly can be. If you have thick layers of dust on shelving units, along pipes and ductwork, and other areas, the minute air conditioning or heating systems are turned on, a fan is moving air throughout the facility, or even a vehicle pulls in, air is being displaced. When that happens, all that dust is getting kicked up into the air.
You might not see it and people may not notice it, but air quality is quickly diminishing and it will all eventually settle onto the floor surface. This can make them look dirty, old, and worn out much quicker.
Spring is a great time for spring cleaning. You may want to consider investing some of the maintenance personnel’s time in wiping down the surfaces that are higher up, out of sight. Just because the dust and dirt may be above you and everyone else doesn’t see it, that doesn’t mean it’s not going to affect cleanliness throughout the facility.
