How To Assemble Your Falcon-5 Vacuum
Step 1
Remove the vacuum and hose from the packaging.
Step 2
To connect the hose, loosen the ribbed nut by turning it by one full rotation counter-clockwise.
Step 3
Insert the steel hose cuff and tighten the ribbed nut clockwise until snug.
Step 4
Centaur’s packaging is 100% recyclable. Recycle the packaging that your vacuum arrived in.
How to Operate And Care For Your Falcon-5 Vacuum
Before Starting Your Falcon-5 Vacuum
Please read and understand the safety guidelines before operating this vacuum cleaner.
Step 1
Release upper latches on the sides of the vacuum tank.
Step 2
Remove the motor head from the tank, inspect the HEPA filter to confirm it is in good working condition and make sure the underside of the motor head area is clean.
Step 3
Inspect tank, make sure it is empty and has been cleaned and dried.
Step 4
FOR DRY APPLICATIONS (Optional): Insert large garbage bag into vacuum tank for direct-to-bag deposit of debris.
Step 5
Inspect the filter, ensure the correct filter is installed for the desired application. Cloth Filter (left) for Dry Pick-Up. Mesh Filter (right) for Wet Pick-Up.
Step 6
Replace the Adaptor Ring and secure lower latches; replace Motor Head and secure upper latches. Connect the drain hose to the adaptor intake ring.
Step 7
Connect the hose to the intake. Refer to "How to Assemble Your Falcon-5" for instructions. Attach desired tools to the hose.
Step 8
Plug power cable into 120V (50/60Hz) North American power receptacle.
Step 9
The vacuum is now ready to be turned on for use.
How To Set-Up Your Falcon-5 For DRY Vacuuming
Step 1
To use the Falcon-5 for direct-to-bag deposit, release the lower latches, disconnect the drain-hose and remove the motor head / adaptor ring assembly.
Step 2
Insert a large garbage bag into the vacuum tank. Roll the top of garbage bag over the upper rim of the vacuum tank.
Step 3
Replace the motor head / adapter ring assembly and secure the lower latches.
Reconnect the drain hose.
Step 4
Release the upper latches and remove the motor head.
Step 5
Insert the DRY cloth filter snuggly over the metal rim of the adaptor ring.
Step 6
Replace the motor head assembly and secure the upper latches.
Step 7
Connect the hose to the intake. Refer to "How to Assemble Your Falcon-5" for instructions. Attach desired tools to the hose.
How To Set-Up Your Falcon-5 For WET Vacuuming
Step 1
If there's a garbage bag in your Falcon-5, you'll need to remove it before using your Falcon-5 for Wet vacuuming. Release the lower latches, disconnect the drain-hose and remove the motor head / adaptor ring assembly.
Step 2
Remove the garbage bag from the tank.
Step 3
Replace the motor head / adapter ring assembly and secure the lower latches.
Reconnect the drain hose.
Step 4
Release the upper latches and remove the motor head.
Step 5
Insert the WET mesh filter snuggly over the metal rim of the adaptor ring.
Step 6
Replace the motor head assembly and secure the upper latches.
Step 7
Connect the hose to the intake. Refer to "How to Assemble Your Falcon-5" for instructions. Attach desired tools to the hose.
How to Maintain Your Falcon-5
Step 1
Keeping your vacuum clean will ensure years of worry-free operation
Step 2
After each use: remove any contents after use or once the tank is 3/4 full. Dispose of the garbage bag or drain all liquids from the tank.
Step 3
Cleaning the tank: Rinse the tank with warm soapy water, drain and towel dry. Wipe the outside of the tank with a damp cloth.
Step 4
After liquid pickup, ensure the drain hose has been rinsed, dried and reconnected to the machine.
Step 5
Inspect motor head, make sure the underside is clean and any residual moisture has been dried with a towel.
Step 6
Store the power cord loosely coiled, utilizing the wrap strap (as pictured) to secure it to the
handle; this will reduce the strain on the cable connection.
How To Maintain Your Falcon-5 Filters
The HEPA, cloth and wet filtration are included with Falcon-5 HEPA. Fine dust and slurry filtration are optional.
