Heavy Duty Floor Scrubbers: Are They Overkill for Small Businesses?

scrub_jay_baseboard_cleaningYou have a small business. Maybe you own a deli or some other food or retail outlet. You may have a fair number of people coming and going throughout the day, and dirt is constantly being tracked in. As such, you may constantly seem like you’re chasing your proverbial tail just to keep things clean.

Some small business owners suddenly get the idea that they should look into commercial grad floor scrubbers. After all, the mop and bucket routine wears thin before long and it’s not doing anything to offer benefits.

The mop and bucket just spreads the dirt around.

Anyone who’s used a mop and bucket in the past should realize that after the first couple of dips into the bucket, all you end up doing is spread dirt and germs around. Sure, it will pick up some of the staining material and dirt from the floor, but not a whole heck of a lot.

For those small businesses that only have about 500 square meters of floor space, for example, is it worth it to consider a heavy duty floor scrubber?

Sure, why not?

Keep in mind that we’re not talking about a ride along scrubber or floor cleaning machine, though. That would be overkill for a smaller business. However, there are high quality and highly effective hand-held floor scrubbers that could be ideal for some smaller business operations.

Some people outsource this.

It is certainly true that some small business owners decide to outsource the floor cleaning operations for their companies. They basically mop the floors at the end of the day and then have a professional company come in and take care of the rest, usually every week, every other week, or just once every month or so.

Any small business owner who wants to keep on top of the cleanliness in their facility, a heavy duty floor scrubber is a good idea.
