Step 3

Seat the handle & adjusting bar and then insert the two pull pins.

Step 4

Connect the power cord from the handle to the motor base.

Step 5

Recycle the packaging that your machine arrived in.

How to Operate Your Rabbit-1

How to Power On The Rabbit-1

Step 1

Connect the power cable to a standard power outlet and verify that power is being delivered to the machine (shown by illuminated red-indicator light on the handle).

Step 2

Press the safety button on handle and rotate forward to start the machine and then release the safety button.

Step 3

To stop the machine, rotate handle grip towards your body (keeping hands on the handle). The safety button will lock back into place.

How to Attach a Cleaning Pad

Step 1

Rest the Rabbit-1 on it's side.

Step 2

Mount the drive block (pad driver) to gearbox of the machine by turning the drive block counter-clockwise so it locks to the clutch plate.

Step 3

Attach a cleaning pad to the drive block (pad driver).

How To "Work" The Rabbit-1

Step 1

Standing behind machine, loosen the tri-nut to lower (or raise) the handle.

Step 2

Make sure machine is balanced and handle is at hip height. The tighten the tri-nut to "lock" that position.

Step 3

When operating your machine, raising the handle slightly swings the machine to the right and lowering the handle swings the machine to the left. Always operate the machine in a safe and careful manner.

How to Use the SplashGuard

Step 1

The SplashGuard is typically "locked" to the Rabbit-1 by the 3 black screw knobs.

When you attach a drive block with a cleaning pad, the SplashGuard is raised from the floor as shown in the image.

Step 2

Turn the 3 black screw knobs counter-clockwise to release and lower the SplashGuard flush to the floor.

Step 3

When the SplashGuard is lowered, it encloses the 18" drive block & pad and prevents the spray & splatter caused by the rotating motion of the machine from ending up on baseboards, walls and nearby vertical surfaces.

How to Downsize The Rabbit-1

Step 1

Release and lower the SplashGuard to the floor by turning the 3 black screw knobs counter clockwise.

Step 2

Rest the machine on its side and rotate the SplashGuard around the 4 mounting tabs to release it from the gearbox housing.

Step 3

Remove the SplashGuard from machine.

Step 4

Mount your 13" cleaning tool to your machine and you are now ready to work in tight/smaller cleaning path areas.

How To Use The Rabbit-1 For Baseboard Cleaning/Stripping

Step 1

Remove the SplashGuard from your Rabbit-1 (for baseboard cleaning, your machine must already be fitted with a water tank and flex hose assembly).

To do this, follow steps 1 to 3 from the section "How To Downsize The Rabbit-1".

Step 2

Mount the ScrubJay #3 baseboard cleaning tool to your Rabbit-1.

For cleaning "square" baseboards, use the ScrubJay #3 with a 3" side pad and an 17" bottom cleaning pad.

For cleaning "cove" baseboards, use the ScrubJay #3 with a 4" side pad and a 14" bottom cleaning pad.

Step 3

Adjust the flex hose so that the orange tip is positioned just above the side pad to allow water to flow directly on to the side pad.

Step 4

Turn the 3-way water valve to the "up" position. This will allow water to flow in to the flex hose assembly on to the side pad.

Step 5

Fill the water tank with clean water, as you'll need a constant flow of water for baseboard cleaning & stripping.

Step 6

Apply Centaur's TroubleGone baseboard cleaner/stripper to the baseboards using a brush.

Allow the TroubleGone to sit on the baseboard for 5 minutes for cleaning OR for 15 minutes if stripping wax.

Step 7

Position the Rabbit-1 at a 45-degree angle from the wall and run the machine down the baseboard. Apply further pressure if needed.

Step 8

As you're running the machine, use the water release handle to allow a constant stream of water to flow to the ScrubJay to "wash down the TroubleGone" and clean the baseboard.

How to Detach The Handle On The Rabbit-1

Step 1

Disconnect the power cord from the handle to the motor base.

Step 2

Loosen the Tri-Nut so that the handle is in an "unlocked" position.

Step 3

Remove the two pull pins from the motor base and separate the handle.
