When it comes to commercial floor maintenance, there may be certain areas of the facility that are not used regularly. Maybe you have storage closets or other rooms that remain vacant for a long time. You may even be using storage closets for certain items, and it’s easy to overlook this portion of the floor, but it’s still a good idea to get in the habit of keeping them cleaned as well as the main, high traffic areas.
The unforeseen issues.
There can be a number of unforeseen issues that arise within these less used spaces throughout the commercial facility. For example, you may have linoleum tile throughout the commercial facility and rely on a storage closet to keep a mop, tools, and other items. If dirt begins working around one of the tiles inside that storage closet, it can loosen up the tile itself.
If it is not addressed and repaired in a timely manner, the dirt and dust can spread deeper the surrounding tiles. Before you know it, you could have tiles in the hallway coming loose.
It’s a good idea to get in the habit of having maintenance personnel mop, buffed, scrub, wax, polish, or whatever you have done to those floors to those less used areas, every single time they are doing the work on the main floors.
If you don’t get into this habit, one week a storage closet could be overlooked and ignored. The next week it could be that storage closet and then another room that is currently empty. Before you know it, half the commercial floor space is not being maintained properly.
It’s much easier and more efficient to clean it commercial facility with the right equipment. With the right equipment, make sure those less used or out-of-the-way areas are also properly maintained consistently.
